The pillows lacked firmness which forced me to wake up feeling unsupported!!! Noise issues from the atrium were disruptive during events, detracting from a relaxing vibe!!! Don't forget about the unimpressive bar cocktails served with overly large ice cubes!!!

I enjoyed everything. Staff works perfectly, breakfast is absolutely full, big size of the rooms. Quiet district around and easy road to city center, main shopping streets.
If you want to be in the center this hotel is not yours for these purposes.

Staff speak very good English. The bar staff are very proffesional and pleasant. Smoking is alowed in the bar after 5pm. Restaurant is superb if a little expensive. They have 6 English tv channels and they are not all news!...

Is it hype or the real deal?
The fine industrial design impressed me, and the free parking to charge our car was a noteworthy perk. The staff's friendliness and perfect service enhanced our experience .
Unpleasant noise disruptions from the atrium affected our comfort at night. Breakfast options were a bit overpriced and lacked variety.

The site is a bit inconvenient for getting to most Hamburg sites. I did however choose Gastwerk for its location because I wished to be on the S-bahn line west of Altona.
